  • Overview

    The Executive Program Management Support (EPMS) contract supports two offices within the DHS Headquarters Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) -- the Office of the Chief of Staff (OCOS) and the Information Technology Services Office (ITSO).  Responsibilities include support of strategic communications, audits, strategy and performance, executive taskers, graphics, program and project management, and meeting support.

    Responsibilities

    This position, within OCOS, supports OCIO Audits and includes, but is not limited to the following:

    • Assist the OCIO with researching, locating, archiving, compiling and prepare an executive level summary on the content of internal documentation as assigned.
    • Assist OCIO with the development and implementation of process and productivity improvements, system alignments, organizational assessments, and program audits and evaluations.
    • Program Manager will develop and implement a quality control program to include timely submissions for all contract deliverables.
    • Research, gather and organize information from multiple agencies, offices and components.
    • Arrange and facilitate meetings with appropriate DHS component personnel in order to collect and consolidate information for submission to appropriate reviewing/approval authority.
    • Facilitate discussion surrounding audit issues and suggest improvements as appropriate.
    • Assist Government liaison with organizing and maintaining audit files.
    • Track responses and review draft audit responses for proper formatting and completeness.
    • Assist in audit reporting and update information in the Enterprise Program Management Office (ePMO) tracking tool.
    • Consolidate information into a weekly status report of recommendations.
    • Assist the Government liaison with the drafting and editing executive level responses to data requests and queries.
    • Assist in the development of tasks and presentation materials to include executive level briefings.

    Qualifications

    • Ability to work collaboratively with team members, and to work independently on long range and short turnaround assignments
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills with demonstrated ability to:
      • Provide writing, editing and transcribing support at all levels of the OCIO
      • Assist in the production of finalized communication products of all types, such as procedures and guidance documents; briefing materials, letters, reports, newsletters, brochures, fact sheets, flow charts, diagrams, work process charts, and communication plans
      • Track executive level action items and coordinate written responses to data requests and queries
      • Translate technical information into clear, readable documents accessible to technical and non-technical personnel

     

    Education/Certifications

    BA and 5-10 years work experience
