    PotomacWave Consulting is currently looking for a Business Development Analyst to join our corporate team in Alexandria, VA! The successful candidate(s) must provide demonstrated results in support of federal business development efforts, primarily in the civilian markets. The ideal candidate should have experience working in federal contracting and have shown increasing responsibilities in support of opportunity capture processes.

    Responsibilities

    • Work directly with the executive management team, BD team and operations.
    • Identifies and qualifies new business opportunities by performing research and analysis on utilizing FedBizOps FBO.gov, eBuy, , FedConnect, USA Spending, Deltek GovWin IQ, and FPDS etc.
    • Support customer meetings with an emphasis on increasing responsibilities within those meetings.
    • Gather competitive intelligence and assist with teaming gap analysis.
    • Support Capture opportunities, including Multiple Award IDIQs Task Orders, teammate identification, competitive assessment, and populating Capture Plans.
    • Coordinates meetings, data calls, assignments with internal and external teammates and/or Capture Managers/stakeholders.
    • Conduct in-depth market and competitive analysis and monitor competitive activity. Develop and produce pipeline reports and analysis data for presentation to executive team. Support the proposal manager and proposal team, as required.
    • Supports responses to Requests for Information (RFI), Sources Sought, Solicitations/Requests for Proposals (RFP)/Requests for Quotes (RFQs)/Task Orders, including writing, section leads, coordination, and editing.

    Qualifications

    • Two years of experience in federal information technology with a focus on business development.
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
    • Strong written and verbal communications skills along with solid interpersonal skills.
    • Working knowledge of information technology fields.
    • Exposure to project and program management principles, and the federal government acquisition process.
    • Industry certifications are a plus.
