  • Overview

    PotomacWave Consulting is seeking a Senior Capture Manager to work in our Alexandria, VA office to participate and oversee the vetting of a business opportunity to proposal development, to award. 


    Key participation in executing all aspects of the capture plan;

    • Researching/Vetting Potential opportunities
    • Identifying and Securing Key Teammates
    • Organizing a Capability Matrix based upon research and development of strategies associated with the customer, competitors and each teammate’s strengths and weaknesses
    • Creates a sound business case and value proposition justifying Why PotomacWave should pursue each opportunity
    • Produces a comprehensive capture plan identifying win themes and discriminators, a competitive analysis, price-to-win, and a customer engagement plan
    • Organizing an Annotated Outline/Storyboard designed to capture critical content (e.g., bullets, written text, and graphics) based off previous PWS/SOW/SOO in advance of the Final RFP 
    • Works in concert with the Proposal Manager throughout every aspect of the proposal development process to include organizing and writing quality content in support of a winning proposal
    • Assist Proposal Management as a proposal evaluator and problem solver throughout the Shipley’s Process


    • Bachelor’s degree required.
    • 8-10 years related work experience.


    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Programmatic approach to prioritization and multi-tasking
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Able to integrate provided content in an explanatory and procedural style (e.g., answer the mail while telling a compelling story)

    Computer Skills:

    • Strong research skills
    • Strong experience using Microsoft Office Suite
