  • Overview

    PotomacWave is currently seeking a Technical Editor to join our growing team located in Washington D.C.  


    • The Technical Editor must have experience in the edit of narrative and graphic products to identify and correct typographical and grammatical errors and to identify logical inconsistencies that will require author attention.
    • Follow FID's standards and templates
    • The editor will ensure that the document’s grammar, wording, and formatting are correct and in compliance with the NGA style manual.
    • Work with SES, Executive Staff, and senior leaders
    • Maintain a record of all documents, presentations, and WBTs that are edited or reviewed


    • Bachelor's degree or minimum 5 years of closely related technical editing experience.
    • Ability to support multiple programs, multi-tasking ability is critical.
    • Excellent time management skills.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite. Ability to prepare power-point presentations, reports, and white papers.
    • Excellent written and verbal skills.
    • Possess strong analytical abilities and advanced writing capabilities to include proper sentence structure, grammar, punctuation, capitalization, and format.
    • Advanced knowledge of MS-Word, to manage large documents to include section/chapter breaks, automatic table of contents, hyperlinks, import/export features, and advanced table development (forms).
    • The ability to edit documents for complete content, logical sequence, and clarity.
    • Assist in preparing and maintaining program documentation to include both technical documents, such as standard operation procedures, user guides and manuals, and technical publications; as well as program documents such as communications with the end user population, web portal content, and monthly reports and deliverables.
